OnyxHR's CEO and founder, Jason Thomasy and family recently attended Diamonds at the Derby, M.A.R.E. Riding Center’s annual fundraising event. M.A.R.E. is one of our clients, and we were happy to join the community in supporting the organization and its work.
With Derby-inspired hats, dressed-up guests and a red rose backdrop, the evening offered plenty of opportunities for photos. It also gave us a chance to highlight an organization that has been serving Kern County since 1990.
M.A.R.E., which stands for Mastering Abilities Riding Equines, provides adaptive horsemanship and equine-assisted programs for children and adults with disabilities. Its programs offer opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and experience a connection with horses in a supportive setting.
That work depends on dedicated people and continued community support. Fundraisers like Diamonds at the Derby bring people together around M.A.R.E.’s mission and introduce more of our neighbors to the programs it provides.
We’re proud to work with M.A.R.E. and appreciate the opportunity to celebrate its team’s efforts. Thank you to the organizers, volunteers and everyone who helped make the evening possible.
